Freezer Corn

Sweet corn keeps very well in the freezer. Preparation and freezing is very simple!! Thawing and heating is simple.

Freezer Corn Recipe

5 cups of corn
1 stick margarine or butter
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup water

Cook 10- 12 minutes after margarine melts.  Cool and freeze.

Directions:

  1. Shuck corn and husk from corn
  2. Cut kernels from corn with knife, electric knife or corn cutter. Avoid cutting to deep in the cob core
  3. Place ingredients in pot on stove and cook on low~medium heat for 10-12 minutes stirring to prevent scorching or burning.
  4. Allow corn to cool and place in freezable container. Place in quart freezer bags or plastic containers.
  5. Date, Label and place in freezer
